The home turf of the 2014 North American International Auto Show in Detroit is where Chevrolet have chosen to unveil the all-new C7 version of the Corvette Z06. The enhanced Z06 version of the Corvette Stingray features both aerodynamic upgrades and engineering modifications to the drivetrain which leave it only fractionally less powerful than the C6 ZR1. Although it has over 100 horsepower more than the previous C6 Z06 Corvette. With the Supercharged V8 engine producing 620 horsepower and 650 lb-ft (880 Nm) of torque.
From the outside the C7 Corvette Z06 is identifiable from the standard car thanks to numerous bodywork alterations. There’s a low lip spoiler, deeper sideskirts, air intakes set into the rear wheel arches, a black-painted central hood section, darkened headlights, a redesigned front grille, and new alloy wheels.
On the inside the C7 Z06 isn’t massively different from the standard car, although it is fitted with some special items like a flat-bottomed steering wheel with the Z06 logo.
